All my life I've been a dreamer, now it's to time to come a believer.

Have to be out the door in half an hour. So here's a teeny tiny weekend post. Been trying to utilise the new camera but I'm not doing too well. Tried to use an online version of photoshop today but it crashed when I used a huge number of layers. The pic looked half decent too. Rats!

I've also been using a new fashion/social network site called WIWT (What I Wore Today). The app still needs a lot of work. It crashes a lot and you can't follow anyone on there by using it. Along with a few other minor things but it's concept is great. Not that a curvy girl like me is ever going to reach the editors page or most popular. But I shall just have to persevere.

Oh and look at that, I'm not at London Fashion Week either. Again. I really must work harder and actually try and make something of myself. I seem to say this most weeks/years/decades. Nothing ever happens. I just don't know how to do it. Or what to do.

Aaaaaaaand let's go.

Pink Sparkle Cupcakes

I've had another go but I rushed these a bit. First I totally forgot to add sugar. Only realised after making the batter and filling two cases. Tasted a drop on my hand and spat it out across the room. Eugh.
Then started again and created these. Messed up the piping bag as per usual. Someone teach me how to pipe a decent top. I just cannot do it!!

Apologies for the dodgy camera work and this is a pretty boring post. Yeah, I made cakes. Woo hoo. But At least this way if I do get better at the decorating one day, I can see my progression.

Happy Birthday Louise Jones

9 September 1993. I don't remember anything amazing on that day. I was probably going about my daily routine of being 4 years old. However, one very special lady was born that day. Louise 'Britain's Best Young Blogger' Jones. Wikipedia in all it's wisdom says that on this day, 'The Palestine Liberation Organization officially recognizes Israel as a legitimate state.' Which is great. But Louise is just as great. She's camped out for hours just to catch glimpses of Royalty. Been in the Big Brother House before anyone else and let us all be a part of that by writing about it on Teen Dreaming. Her Twitter Feed is just made of awesome too.

I'm no graphic designer as I'll openly admit but I want to send a message to wish her all the best with turning 18. Adulthood has arrived. Don't worry, it's all fine this side. In fact, it's just brilliant!

So I've put together a teeny tiny little message for Louise.

Like I said, I'm no Monet. Just give me some Sharpies and I'll do my best.

Louise, you deserve to do so well as you're so flipping lovely. Many Happy Returns and have a great party!

Limerick reads

There once was a girl called Louise
Who brought the internet to it's knees
She tweeted and blogged
Then slept like a log
Today she's 18, Go Louise!

Cake! Cake! Cake!

So good, I've named it three times.

Firstly, I'm extremely worried about writing this post. I did the quiz that was in the paper today on grammar, I came out of it quite badly. I thought I used to have a good grasp on grammar but it turns out I'm not so great. Are there courses for this sort of thing? Or do I just need to read lot's more?

I decided to get a bit up to date on projects I've been putting off, tonight. This came about after a conversation in the office about cake. So I promised I'd make a few for them. I also want a pretty header. Thank heavens for Sharpies. They don't show up my dodgy colouring skills and make everything look that bit more 'designed'. Like it's been done by a real graphic designer. Well, maybe. I didn't say I was any good at either.

Thanks to some twitter help and lots of googling I've found where I'm going wrong with baking. I'm not filling the cases up enough or using the right cases. (3/4 full and muffin cases).

These are the results. (taken with iphone camera as digital camera has died)

I know they're not brilliant but I found them a lot less stressful to make. I certainly need help on my piping skills. It'll come with time.
The recipe came from the back of a Hummingbird Bakery notecard.

Polaroid Photos

Not a very interesting post. Just wanted to see how these look along side each other. I enjoy the social aspect of instagram and the varying filters. Sometimes it'd be nice to have more, or limited edition ones. I also like the nostalgic effect of Polaroid. The computer app also develops the picture at the same rate as a polaroid camera would. Then emits a printing sound when done. So cute.
